TaxiPlan

Legal Services Plan for Taxi Drivers & Owners

Experienced attorney will represent you in court. TaxiPlan is a legal services plan designed for Chicago taxi drivers & owners. As a member of TaxiPlan an experienced attorney will represent you in court for all traffic tickets, administrative hearing citations, “fly” tickets and chauffeur license revocation proceedings.

$12 per month - $144 per year. TaxiPlan is available to you as a driver through most taxi affiliations, or directly with our office on a yearly membership. The cost is $144 per year ($12.00 per month).

Reduced rates for other legal services. In addition to providing you with in court representation for traffic and other violations, you also receive reduced rates for other legal services including residential real estate closings for $250, a basic will for $325, Illinois incorporation for $150 (plus costs) and taxi medallion purchase for $350.

Limitations on your plan. In order to provide TaxiPlan to you at this cost, we have placed several limitations on your plan in order to contain costs for all members. Significantly, all citations in excess of eight (8) in one membership year will pay a charge of $20 for each additional court appearance. Additionally, TaxiPlan fully covers citations received within Cook County, Illinois. If you receive a citation in Lake, DuPage or Will County, Illinois, you will pay a surcharge of $50 for each court appearance. If you receive a citation outside these areas but within Illinois, TaxiPlan will locate and retain a local attorney and negotiate a legal fee for you, however you will be responsible for those legal fees.
